The free version of Evernote is an excellent tool for your project management. It is not only a tool to store just a few notes but rather a tool to store all your notes, ideas, schedules, project plans, to-do lists, etc. And it lets you create an endless list of notebooks, not just one. You can have a separate notebook for each project and organize its content in any way you like.

In your notebooks, you can store not just text but also pictures, links, and files, and even grab content from the web (with the Evernote Web Clipper). This means that you will have everything in one place, not scattered around in many places which can be easily forgotten or overlooked.

And if this is not enough, then the fact that all content is synced to the cloud and accessible from literally all devices and the option for collaboration with others (up to 250 people) should be convincing enough to give this tool a try.

Everything in Evernote instantly syncs across any computer or phone you use. Start working on one device and continue on another without missing a beat.

A tool for collaboration

You might not immediately understand why this tool can be of help. Let’s say you work for an LSP (Localization Service Provider). This LSP wants to implement a process where one translator does the translation, and another does the review. This would be the right way to do it anyway. As you might know, four eyes see more than two. For this process, the LSP could send the files to the translator by email. The translator sends the files to you for review, and you send them back to the LSP.  If the files are small and only a few, this might be okay. But it can be a problem if many big files are involved. With Evernote, this whole process is easy if the files are synced on the computers of all parties involved.
